Get Involved

The success of a community development project of this caliber is completely dependent on involvement of the entire community. Community members can get involved in the following ways:

Constructing and Painting Quilt Squares
Quilt Squares will be made out of sheets of wood and the designs precisely painted on them

Marketing the Project
News about the project needs to be disseminated throughout the community and to visitors

Volunteering a Barn or Heritage Site
Sites are needed from every part of the county to help communicate the regional and agricultural heritage of the area

Making a Financial Donation
Money and materials will be needed to help make this project a success

Safety & Respecting Private Property
While enjoying and viewing the Alcona County Quilt Trail, please use caution when slowing down or stopping near a site. Stopping on busy roads can be dangerous and illegal. All Quilt Barn sites are located on private property. They should be viewed only from the road unless otherwise indicated at the site location or if that site is a business open to the public. We are deeply grateful to all of our quilt barn hosts for their generosity.
